I now live in Christmas Valley, Oregon just outside of the Deschutes National Forest where I lived for 17 years (I miss the pine trees!). We are now in the high desert east of Central Oregon. The high desert (4300 + feet elevation) has it’s own beauty and uniqueness which has been fun discovering. I was born in San Diego, CA and lived there my entire life until my husband and I moved to Oregon 17 years ago. Our son still lives down in San Diego and I miss him so much! Happily, our lovely daughter has moved up here in our cute little town and I couldn’t be more pleased. We have such a wonderful time together. She is also a Swapbot member and we enjoy doing our crafts together. I received an Associate's Degree in Science and studied Animal Health and became a Registered Veterinary Technician...I worked over 17 years in that field. I have also studied Medical Transcription. I am an avid bird watcher! I am a very active pinner on Pinterest. I live with my husband, my high-school sweetheart whom I have been married to for over 50 years, and a very sweet, goofy pitbull/lab mix named “Reggie”.

My favorite music is country...Chris Stapleton, Brothers Osborne, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert just to name a few.

My favorite books are Gone With the Wind and The Twilight Series

My favorites are Games of Thrones, Homeland and Billions. I also love watching This is Us, Animal Planet, Oregon Field Guide, the Food Network, Breaking Bad, Bate's Motel and The Walking Dead.

I have a passion for tole and decorative painting which I did a lot of years ago. I have also dabbled in beginning quilting. Not sure why, but I have gotten away from doing crafts and I want to change that! The crafts that I am excited about doing are decorative painting, quilting, fabric and paper crafts which I am hoping that being a member of Swap-bot will help get me going! I really want to learn how to make wonderful smelling handmade soaps. My latest love is making junk journals or themed journals. Paper, paper, paper is my love! I am also doing lots and lots of collage projects and glue books! My favorite artists are Margarete Miller and Constance Rose whom I get so much inspiration from.

I have a passion for BIRDS...chickadees and robins are just a couple of my favorites.. and wildlife...especially SQUIRRELS, bunnies and wolves. I love California quail! I love vintage and shabby chic. Favorite colors are red, pink, blue, purple. I love the scent of lavender. I love pitbulls. I also love cooking and gardening. I love bird houses. I love all things that have to do with country living...chickens, roosters, barns, canning, picnics, old-fashioned country antiques.
