My favorite book... and art...

This swap is a used (or new) book swap... (and art, see below)...YOUR favorite book... well, we here are pretty much all book junkies...so let's say, one of your top 20 favorite books!! :) A book you loved reading, and love remembering that you read.

Choose your book and send your partner either your old copy, a copy from a used bookstore, or a new copy. (don't do this swap if you are particular about receiving new for new!) Write them a little note about what you like about the book, or how it makes you feel, or something like that.

Element two: art relating to your book. This can be very basic, or intricate, depending on your level of artistic ability and your commitment. It CANNOT be a sticker slapped on a card, but it also does not need to be a Picasso. :) I consider art collage, drawing, painting, paper cutting...make suggestions below if you aren't sure about your idea, but I suspect if it is more than a sticker, I will think it is art. It can be a 4x6 postcard, an ATC, a bookmark...even a poem you have written about this author or piece, that you put on a bookmark, etc. it should take time (an hour? Two?), but not DAYS, unless you so choose.

Clear? Or are there questions? I have tried to leave it open for interpretation, but also assure that each person gets A) a well loved book and B) a piece of "book related art".

Sign up is soon, but I am extending the mail out time a bit because of Thanksgiving, etc, and the fact that I am very busy the next few weeks! But send it out as soon as you have yours done to beat holiday mailing rushes. Also, because waiting for your partner to send out stinks!! :) I will try to send as early as I can.
