This is your life, timeline

I can barely remember what I had for breakfast, let alone all the events in my past. I have just turned 41 and all can remember is I did some things. The challenge is to take the years in your life starting from your birthday to the present day. Write a short couple of sentences about an event that occured in your life that year. If you cannot remember (who can remember year 1?) use other people's recollections or events occuring in the media. The more local the better. They can be as important or as trivial as you wish.

The letter will be sent snail mail. International and newbie swappers welcome.
